About

Montecani, Italy

I am known as the human map. I know the ins-and-outs of Los Angeles having lived in LA all of my childhood life (Having moved to the San Fernando Valley (SFV) during high school). I pretty much know LA in the back of my hand.

Also, I am usually the one with the map in my hands when my friends and/or family and I go on vacation. I’m very good at directions and knowing where to go. Although, I do have that odd moments where I get semi lost, but I get back on track! But what fun is it if you don’t get lost in a foreign city/country?

One of my passions is traveling and I always wanted to do something like this since last year; blogging. I never really had a chance or didn’t really have an idea where to start. I got a pep talk from my dearest friend and she gave me the idea. Well, mostly the push and desire to do this. Which got me thinking on what I can do.

What does this site do?

1. Will help tourist and locals alike on Los Angeles landmarks. I pretty much know all the tourist spots as I like to be a tour guide to all my family that come over from Asia.

2. Develop new places to see or do in Los Angeles. This is going to be a challenge as I think I have been everywhere in LA. Even if I have been every nook and cranny, there’s always something surprising about dear old Los Angeles.

3. Provide backroutes to LA traffic. LA is known for its traffic and as I now reside in SFV the commute on the 101 or the 405 can be a pain but something I and all the other Angelenos have to live with.

4. Other – Providing itineraries for out of town guests (not only for LA but other travels); Places to eat, Travel Tips, etc. I’ll basically start with what I know best and work my up to cities and places I’ve visited or will visit.

Who am I?

Crystal Indo

Padang, Indonesia

I guess a little Introduction is due. My name is Crystal and I am not a tour guide by trade but an Accountant. I am not a writer, although as a former auditor, I feel my grammar is OK. Who knew that I would be documenting in Accounting? I just like helping people through their journeys and hope that I can help them do the research and recommend places that they might have missed. It also helps me as much as it helps them.

My friends also know me as the one who likes to put scrapbooks and collages together, so you’ll probably get a lot of that through here.

I am an Introvert and a Scorpio. I don’t know why I typed that because those two probably don’t go together at all. I usually don’t like to speak up until I have something constructive to say. Sometimes it’s because I don’t really know the topic or I really wasn’t paying attention. As contradictory as it may seem, I do listen A LOT and put facts together.

If you meet me, a lot of people say I’m very cold. I don’t try to be mean/non talkative, it’s just that I really don’t know you. It takes me a few meets in order for me to open up to you (at the most 2 times, unless you’re an extrovert then I open up the first time we meet). Once I get to know you, I can be really loud; but I’m the nicest person you probably ever meet until you cross me. Of course, my actions are pretty different between my daily and professional life.

Most, if not all, of my friends are extroverted, so if you’re an extrovert, we will get along nicely. If not, there will be LOTs of awkward silences lol. If, by chance, I get fidgety and the silences gets more awkward, I tend to start asking questions and try to find things that we have in common. I have to thank this blog as it has helped me be more proactive and I have opened up more in my daily life.

Where have I been?

I’ve been to many places all over the world (about 20 countries so far). Some of which includes: Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, United Kingdom, France, Italy, and many more.

Other places on my list that I haven’t been to and would LOVE to go to are: China, New Zealand, Turkey, Greece, Dubai, Egypt, Thailand, Chile, Brazil, etc. not in the exact order.

I hope this quick intro helped you understand who I am and a little about what I envision this site to be. I hope to take you on this journey with me.
